A very dull and cloudy day, not a lot about on the bird front, just one to add to our year list,

Caister St Edmunds, Norfolk

A reported Glossy Ibis at the roman village near Caister st Edmunds and we where so lucky so see it very quickly on our arrival in amongst the reeds on the river Bank, nice to have such a lovely bird just 3 miles from home, also saw Kingfisher and a Fox on the opposite river bank

RSPB Buckenham Marshes, Norfolk

A great walk down towards river 200 + Greylags, 80 + Egyptian Geese plus a Red Breasted Goose, also saw Hobby hunting over marshes and a Marsh Harrier soaring towards Strumpshaw

RSPB Strumpshaw Fen Norfolk

A really good morning lots of birds about, Bearded Tits, Kingfisher, Grey Heron, Teal, Shoveler, Greylag and a Peregrine Falcon chasing a Rook, to name a few and has we left a Reeves Pheasant opposite car Park

A lovely sunny morning a good walk round Strumpshaw and then on to Buckenham Marsh, lots of Teal, Lapwings and Greylags

North Norfolk Coast

Three days off work so up to North Norfolk, stayed in Thorham at the Old Coach House, very nice room great meals in the restaurant Pizza;s,Pasta and Pies

Day 1, A visit to Holkham Gap our first time here, small amount of rain but mostly bright but very windy. Then on to RSPB Titchwell

Spent most of the day at Cley Marshes then later dusk at Thornham, A small amount of rain in the morning, but at least the wind had dropped

A great walk this morning around Caister st Edmund, Thousands of finches, including Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Linnet, Twite, Yellowhammer,Siskin and a few long tailed tits

Whitlingham Country Park Norwich Norfolk

A cold and frosty morning plenty of birds on the broad, great views of the Great Northern Diver on the Great Broad, really nice to se hs we missed it at Strumpsham and Buckenham Marshes
