I am happy to present you the webstream of the Alpine swifts in Tuttlingen, Germany:

Alpensegler Tuttlingen

The movable webcam is situated in the steeple of the Stadtkirche. Alpine swifts have been nesting there since 2020 and by now 40 of 50 nests are in use regularly. More than 200 birds were counted during evening flight counts in 2018.

The swifts will return this year end of March/beginning of April. Many thanks to Markus, who managed to install the camera in the tower in 2021.

Good morning,

the first Alpine swifts in the tower returned yesterday. They have never been there this early :)

(The colony has been in existence since 2000, not 2020 as I wrote in my post above).
