This is an American Crow, right? Every time I convince myself it is, I look at those throat feathers and second guess myself. But they don't seem that shaggy. I think this is a case of me wanting it to be a raven more than it wants to be a raven. Am I correct here?

You're looking at chin feathers rather than throat feathers. I can't see a raven in this.

It's not a Raven with that bill showing. I'd like to go with Crow but there are so many large black birds out there.
