Been birding here in San Diego, CA for a couple years but am still very much an amateur. But loving every minute of it. My “spark” bird was a nesting pair of Osprey that have had a nest in the park behind my house for many years but never paid attention to it. Followed closely by my next favorite Hooded Orioles! The Osprey are on the nest and the orioles have been hitting my backyard first week in March! Can’t wait!
