Any News On An 8x32 Noctivid? (1 Viewer)

Was just at a major sportsman’s show this past weekend here in the USA. Leica, Swarovski, Maven, several other manufacturers and well-known optics retailers were present. Spent some time with the Leica folks and asked them directly if a 32mm Noctivid was under development. Their answer was, nothing underway as far as they knew. I do know that their rangefinding and infared optical devices are quite popular and very competitive. Observed numerous attendees showing serious interest in the various Geovids and new Geovid Pro.

Odd to see Noctivid FOV described as "class leading", and let's not even get into the famous "plastic impression"... Anyway, it's no more a low-light or "24-hour"(!) glass than any other high-end 42mm. Realistically, on this forum the advantages regularly cited are an improved sweet spot and more eye relief, which could surely be done in a 32mm, whose absence remains curious. Precluded by the name itself?
