At last good news for me the camera is in stock and will be delivered to my home address next Thursday. I know i will extra items for my new digital camera to take photo’s etc. Any advice would be gratefully received. What type of battery rechargers, type of batteries to use in a digital camera. Also i will need an SD Card. I arranged for delivery next Thursday for delivery of my camera. My cousin would help me right now and will help me. But he is going on holiday with his family to stay with friends in the USA for 7 days and departing tomorrow. HOPEFULLY! Considering the Gales today. Thanks!

Oh nice one Ian...... I'm sure you'll love that camera.

I've got the P900 so don't know if the specs are the same. The battery for that is EN-EL-23. I think they're available through Amazon? But I'm sure there'll be someone along who has that camera who can confirm that (or not).

Hi

The battery in the P950 is not the same as the P900.

You will need the EN-EL20 same battery that the P1000 takes.

If you go onto amazon and type in EN-EL20 battery and charger there are some really good deals.

I bought 2 batteries and a charger for less then 20 quid with no issues.

I bought the San disk 64gb extreme pro for mine it's perfect for the P950 and you can get them for a responsible price on amazon under 20 quid.

Hope this helps

Cheers Stu

Here is a link to the battery's and charger

Thanks for this just bought it. I find the battery life on 950 is pretty good and charging at home or in the car is quite quick but got a wildlife holiday coming up and this looks a great back up
