Atlapetes semirufus benedettii Phelps & Gilliard, 1941 OD here
Adult male collected April 2, 1940, by Fulvio Benedetti. Altitude, 1200 meters. (Type on deposit at The American Museum of Natural History.)

Fulvio L. Benedetti (b.1918) was a collector for Phelps in Venezuela. He collected the eponymous holotype (1940) there. He co-wrote Las Aves de Margarita con Anotaciones Systematicas (1940).
