Hello I have been a bird lover for years and they cost me a fortune feeding them this time of year. I always make sure there are lots of suet cakes because they work so hard feeding their babies. Last night my cat was kicking around what I thought was a mouse from the distance. To my surprise it was a baby bluebird, feathered up good but can’t fly. Any advice would be so welcomed!

Hi Stephstruble and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I'm a bit confused as to which species you have, a Blue Jay, as in your thread title, or a Bluebird, as in the text LOL.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
