Bird ID needed please. (1 Viewer)

Hi all I've had this little bird in my garden feeding of my seed. its been here 3 days now.
its around 3-4" high... fully feathered by the looks and has red rings around eyes.
also dark brown real flight feathers
It can fly no problem is pretty tame also

I'm sure its not a young collared dove or wood pigeon

Ok cheers wel i was kinda thinking it must be a caged bird of some kind . with it being so tame
there is a guy with birds down the street i guess its gotta be one of his .

we have a lot of cats that live in the houses close by... BUT it seems to be happy enough... so i'm undecided now to tell him its here or let it be free hoping a cat don't get it ....

I would let your neighbour know as its not a native species and probably won't survive in the wild.

I asked him if it were his he said NO... i don't think he wants the bird either. I'm not to sure if i could catch it . and where to take it if i did ???
