I was sent the attached image from a friend who found it on "Queenscliff Beach" today (13th Feb) and I have failed to be able to ID it any more than as petrel (and even that may be wrong!). Only comments were that it has webbed feet, long wings and a hooked, blue tipped beak.
I can't see a convincing match in Simpson & Day or the Morcombe eGuide.

Any help would be appreciated.WhatsApp Image 2023-02-13 at 09.35.50.jpg
