Autumn is particularly good for picking up migrants and some early winter visitors as well as migrants moving through. Waders in particular are good at Titchwell this time of year with Curlew Sandpipers, Blacktail Godwits en route migrating South.
If the winds are right (NW onshore), sea watching can be productive, with various auks and skuas possible. Later in October, anywhere along that part of the coast you have a chance of picking up scare/rare migrants - again if the winds are right (strong Easterlies)
If you have a choice, I would aim for mid October, when peak migration from continental Europe occurs. Waders, ducks, geese etc. Also various thrushes. Bearded Tit, Avocet, Marsh Harrier, Barn Owl are all easy at Titchwell. Other species, such as Spoonbill, Spotted Redshank, Water Rail, Merlin, Peregrine and Short-eared Owl also possible. Rarities/scarcities might include Wryneck, Red-breasted Flycatcher, Black Redstart, Great Grey Shrike ...
It’s also worth visiting NWT Cley, Holkham NNR and Holme Bird Observatory, all easily accessed from the coast road.
