Hi, saw the first pair of House Martins hunting for insects over my garden this morning, and on the way back from Carmarthen, about 4 miles down the road, saw a Swallow mid-afternoon. They've arrived. |8)|

Swift over the office in Kinross today. The weather is awful but it brightend up my day.
Still waiting for my first House Martins & Swifts in West Fife. Swallows still thin on the ground too though the Willow Ws are back in force.

Willow Warblers are certainly back in Herts. Also hirundines picking up now, all four varieties in good numbers at Tring Reservoirs plus several (I counted 8 the other evening) Yellow Wags and 2 Hobbys.

David ;)

Yeah, my mistake, well spotted. 4 Hobbys (Hobbies?) patrolling the reedbeds now.

Summer has come. Not only has it been a wonderfully warm and sunny afternoon, the swifts have arrived! Four screaming and swooping overhead whilst I was cleaning the car.
