Can anyone id this ladybird from South Yorkshire today? (1 Viewer)

Totally appreciate if this can't be identified. I was struck by its size as it was much smaller than your typical ladybird. This was on my scope eyepiece in an area of rough grassland. Could it be a 14 Spotted? PRobably totally wrong! I'm still amazed in the possible varieties in some species.

Agreed, 16-spot, the three joined up dots on the side are quite diagnostic of this species as is the small size.
