2 Red Kites circling near Ladywood
Common Redstart still present but elusive in hedge between New Mill and Ladywood
2 Herons Coney
The usual Warblers etc

The Whinchats had disappeared when I walked back but are probably still in the general area - seems very early for them to be on return passage - I usually start looking for them in the second half of August.

A Siskin over Coney Meadow just now.
3 Little Egrets flew over near Ladywood earlier
Female type Common Redstart eventually showed well between Ladywood and New Mill but generally elusive. A second bird appears to be present in the area calling frequently from thick cover.
3 Lesser Whitethroats among the other birds seen.
