Coney Meadow and Adjoining Areas (3 Viewers)

A couple of young Tawny Owls in trees near the bridleway to High Park this evening - one gave good views.

11 Glow worms seen on the way back (very partial coverage).

Relatively quiet for birds over the last few days but decent numbers of butterflies seen, including Essex Skippers, Small Coppers, Painted Lady, Red Admirals, Gatekeepers, Meadow Browns, peacocks, Commas and Brimstone.

Dragonflies including Southern Hawker and Brown Hawkers.

A juvenile Stonechat and a juvenile Whinchat in rough field adjacent to Coney Meadow this morning (the 'wildlife crop').
A Garden Warbler just west of Salwarpe village
3 Ravens
Kingfisher
Cetti's Warblers

2 Sand Martins yesterday evening with around 25 Swallows over Coney Meadow around dusk.
6 Glow worms along the Roman Way last night.

Took the photo below between the allotments and Roman Way - looks like a male Brown Argus (narrow abdomen, dark spot in middle of forewing, no hint of any blue).
