Coney Meadow and Adjoining Areas (1 Viewer)

This morning female cuckoo calling east end of reed bed ,closest male calling at Ladywood, pair of cuckoo's chasing around Porter's mill. On return female still calling in Coney looks like 2 females in the area. Spooked a Marsh Harrier just by reed walk through, it flew west tried to circle but was mobed by crows and jackdaws.
Other highlights cettis warbler, Kingfisher, BHG. Total species 44.

A female type Common Redstart around Tapenhall pool this morning.
Family of Coots there (adult and 3+ young)
Pair of Tufted Ducks also.
Little Egret along the river near Salwarpe village.
A female Mandarin landed on the river there also.
Male Stonechat seen
Cuckoos at Salwarpe, Ladywood and Tapenhall
Yellowhammer Salwarpe
Lesser Whitethroat plus the usual Warblers
Grey Heron
Kestrel
Skylarks
