I saw a pair of Zeiss Conquest 8x30 BT* and I was unaware of this model of Conquest which must be from prior years and is no longer in production.

Is the glass in the current 32mm and 42mm Conquest HD supererior? Experiences with the prior conquest bt generally positive?

oldtimer, post 1,
I suppose it is the Zeiss 8x30B Dialyt, later named Conquest, FOV 130m/1000m, made from 1964-1969.

Isn't it this one? I had one briefly a fair while ago, a competent performer for it's age, but nowhere near the current CHD. Eye relief was particularly short, but centre of the view was sharp enough.
