Hi, The attached was recorded in Istria, Croatia a few weeks ago. Just been passed to me. Does anyone recognise this song? It has me stumped. Probably nothing unusual - but I want to put my mind at rest! TIA for any ID

As so often with recordings for ID it's frustrating to have such a short extract - and not even know if (e.g.) this short phrase is continually repeated exactly like this or if this is just a random extract from a long and continually-varying song. Nor anything about the circumstances - habitat, etc.
Doesn't sound (hardly) anything like a nightingale to me. I'd wonder about cagebird too.

Hey Butty, thanks - all good Qs. Agreed, I need more info. Will check tomorrow and post additional data.
