Ran across this deal on these Swaro's and ended up ordering them. I've been spending money like Paris Hilton lately but you know how sales can be! Note that the black is the old model and the forest green is the SLCnew........

Went to the website, and I got a feeling that they're sending you the 'old' green SLCs, not the new style! What did they send you? They do say 'forest green' on their site, and show a picture of the new 8x30, but it seems misleading!

Seemed a little funny to me too, so I checked the model #, and also called them for clarification. The "Forest Green" ones are indeed the SLCnew, and the black ones are the old style. I bought and received the SLCnew, love 'em. I used to have I believe a 8x30 SLC MkII (mid 80's?), these new ones do seem better in every respect. In fact, they seem every bit as good as my Ultravid 8x32's.

Dan: Are the 8x30 SLCnew bino you got with a US warranty? If so, you got a great deal!

Actually, they were drop shipped directly to me from Swarovski North America in Rhode Island, so we ought to be OK there.
