This bird is a bit larger than a sparrow, has a curved beak, orange flush feathers underside of neck, red, white, brown and black stripes on wings, and seems to feed mainly on bottle brush tree flowers. His song is a high pitched almost mewing sound. He was seen at about 4000 foot elevation. I haven't been able to get a clear picture of him, but attached some I have. Thanks for helping with identification. I'll post better pics if I can get this guy to hold still for a bit. Mahalo and Aloha. Jean
