I am hoping to do bird and wild life recordings. I would like recommendations for a "good" setup. I am looking at Zoom H-4 recorder and possibly Sennheiser microphone with Rycote special 190. Is this a good selection or is this way off !
I like to keep my budget to under $ 1000 if possible.
I am technically challenged and like to keep every thing very simple.
Thanks for any help.

The highly recommended Sony HiMD is only available as used models and last sold new in US a few years ago. I am hoping for someone who has used the setup I mentioned to let me know their experience or if there is something better at my budget level.

I am wrong- I found a Sony MZ-M200 hi MD recorder still available in USA. Unfortunately it is not available close to home. So again I have to depend on my peers on their experience.
