Erawan NP Thailand - Common or Greater Flameback...? (1 Viewer)

Late afternoon in the NP. Seen before, quite common. Not completely clear which one exactly...but there is a third black line separating the white from the red that could distinguish: Greater Flameback, could that be right? Tnx for advice

Common. From BOW: "The Greater Flameback is most readily confused for the Common Flameback (Dinopium javanense), which has a smaller bill and lacks the white central stripe on the nape running down from the base of the crest to the back."
