Falcon in Teesside (1 Viewer)

An odd-looking juvenile falcon was at Dorman's Pool, Tees Marshes, this morning. The bird was quite some distance off and the heat haze intense. The bird flew in low at 09:45 and sat on the ground for 10 mins, before taking off, scattering the waders on nearby Saltholme RSPB, before flying back directly over our heads, low over Dorman's, through and away to the WSW. The bird was on view for about 15 minutes in total. There were no jesses on the bird, nor obvious transmitters. The only photos obtained were through a telescope and I can't digiscope to save my life. I'd be grateful for comments on identity, and I'm saying nothing further on this apart from emphasising that the features visible in the photos, the pale cream-brown crown, the darkly streaked breast, white 'trousers', wing tips falling short of the tail, were all the more obvious in the field. I'm moving house, all my reference material is in boxes, and I'm hoping Birdforum members could offer opinions, the more informed the better :)

Thanks

Mike
