The glass is half full, but the bottle is empty.

Posting for a friend who recently found these in his large garden about 840m asl. He says, "Shafts shattered. Downy feathers no longer available but those found earlier were boldly barred grey and black." Local concensus is settling on domestic hen, perhaps a Coucou de Rennes but confirmation or correction would be welcomed.
