Can someone please identify these pics? I had them filed under female Blue-crowned Manakin, but I believe that to be incorrect now as the eye is not dark and the underneath doesn't look right. I am leaning toward female Red-capped Manakin. Taken on Pipeline Rd Panama in Sep.
Thanks
Chris

I would hesitantly say Blue-crowned for this one still. Digging through pics on ebird it appears as if female Blue-crowned actually does/can have a paler iris, when in good light, as in these photos. The brighter green plumage and greyish tone to the throat/cheek favour Blue-crowned rather than Red-capped.
