1. FC taken in RDC ....is this a Grey-Streaked FC or Brown-Streaked FC
2. & 3 Taken in Tawau (Sabah) ....no2 is it Mangrove Blue FC female and no3 is it Tickell's Blue or mangrove Blue FC male?

1. Umber Flycatcher Muscicapa umbrosa split from Brown-streaked by Eaton et al but, AFAIK, still lumped by the main taxonomic authorities as M. williamsoni umbrosa. Range originally believed to be restricted to Borneo, it has since been discovered in peninsula Malaysia and southernmost Thailand and likely occurs in Sumatra. The combination of brown plumage tones, extensive yellow base to lower mandible and very short primary projection readily exclude Grey-streaked. Umber Flycatcher
2. Agree fem Mangrove Blue Flycatcher
3. male Bornean Blue Flycatcher. Indochinese Blue (split from Tickell's Blue from S Asia) does not occur. Male Mangrove Blue has entire underparts saturated orange-rufous.
