Hi all,

I found quite a few of these yesterday all growing on old Larch cones. I'm assuming the are unidentifiable bonnets. All I have to go on is that the spore print is white and the stems are dark at the base and whitish at the apex.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for looking.

Charlie.

How about Mycena epipterygia, Charlie?

I'm not sure to be honest, they've gone past their best now. I think I need a book on mycenas, I get fed up of constantly finding them and not knowing what they are - oh, and a microscope as well.

Thanks anyway Dave.

Hi Nutcracker, thanks for the tree ID, I also found my first Chanterelles underneath them so it's good to know excatly which is their host species.
