Furry garden visitor under the feeders (1 Viewer)

I've just had a visit from a male Brambling, which was nice but as I stood watching for his return, a wee brown beastie shot out from the tree root area and started munching on some of the food! A Bank Vole? We're on a farm in Perthshire, Scotland.

Yes, Bank Vole. Apart from the quite russet fur which is a good indicator, you can see the ears which are not hairy and stick up a bit more than on a Field Vole: also the tail is much too long for Field Vole.

Our wee Bank Vole has obviously decided it likes all the free bird food and now has multiple holes in the garden outside my window. It will need good eyesight, we have wild cats and multi aerial predators. 🥰
