G'day from Oz with Honesty about a pair of Carl Zeiss Binoculars (1 Viewer)

Hello to all from wonderful Australia!
My name is Aaron and I'm more of a collector than a bird watcher however a search about a lovely pair of Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrintem 8×30's with the serial number 2926178 I came across recently lead me here.
I'm just wondering if someone here might be able to enlighten me on the age of these binoculars & their basic history etc?
My primary research told me they date to 1942 however I don't want to take that as gospel until I have someone more knowledge than I confirm it. I'm an optimist but not delusional!!
I will attempt to include some images and cross my fingers that someone here may be willing to help.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who may be willing to render assistance.

Hi Aaron and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. l've moved your post to the Zeiss forum as they're better placed there to discuss these binoculars with you.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

I'd check for evidence of anti-reflection coatings - if they are present, the binocular will almost certainly be post-war (and superior for actual use).

There is some useful history on this model available online. Happy reading! A collector who doesn't know what he's collecting, will soon be a poorer and disappointed collector...

Thanks to everyone who answered, you all have me some fantastic information and leads.
They are definitely post war, as mentioned above I think I'm looking at 1957-58 & what a cracking pair they are based on what I've seen around. I'm pretty sure they were bought, put in a cupboard and never used!!
They will be up for sale if anyone is interested.
