Am I missing something, or did the Guardian get it wrong? The last picture at this link to wildlife photos from the week: Week in wildlife in pictures: a very lost penguin, cloned baby ferrets and a mystery mollusc is labeled as an Eared Grebe (which might be more familiar on the east side of the Atlantic as Black-necked Grebe, Podiceps nigricollis). It looks to me more like a Horned Grebe (or Slovonian Grebe, Podiceps auritus).
