Green Laser Pointers (1 Viewer)

A Strange request this one.

I have been asked today if I know about anyone who uses a Green laser pointer to show birds to groups of people out in the field. Well I don't, so does anyone else know if these are being used? Although I seem to remember reading somewhere that green lasers are illegal in the UK as they either have some military use or are used for communicating with aircraft.

Any help in clarifying this matter would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Never thought of using mine for pointing out birds. But it is extremely useful at night - for pointing out astronomical features in the sky.

They're not illegal in the UK, but their power is restricted. Mine strobes to keep the average power output down.
