Greetings for a part of the world that is not known for the most exotic birds, but we enjoy what we have|:d|.
I have been encouraging birds in my garden for the last few years and am now rewarded with a constant stream of birds, including many varieties of tits and finches (my favourite being goldfinches); and the occasional woodpeckers - and even a sparrow hawk last week. It helps living nearby to some woods.
I have some mystery birds that have been regular visitors for the last few weeks. The nearest I can get to identification is that they may be linnets, but they are very dull in colour. If I can work out how to add a photo I will do so, in the hope someone can set me right!
