Hi everybody,

I took the attached photographs in the harbour of Muscat (Oman) on March the 7th 2019. I would like to ask you:

  • do the photos represent one and the same species ?
  • may you please help me identify it/them (I am a beginner regarding gulls) ?

I thank you so much in advance.

All the best.
Eliseo

All the gulls in photos 2-8 are Black-headed Gull Chroicocephalus ridibundus as are the small gulls in the foreground of photo 1.

The larger darker gulls in the background of photo 1, along the water's edge, might be Steppe Gull or another of the Larus fuscus subspecies but beyond my sphere of knowledge.
