I am relatively new to serious birding and photography but am fortunate to live in Thailand, where birds and national parks abound.
I hope to be able to contribute in the near future.

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum. :t:

We're glad you found us and please join in wherever you like ;)

Hey Steve!

Welcome to Birdforum! I am sure you will enjoy your visits here. Do share your Thai birds with us.

Birding is a love of our feathered friends, but photography gives you the ability to capture the moment. Its a time capsule that you can go to time after time and save it for all time so the world of the future can see what wonder we had today.
Welcome

Hi Gordon,
One of my favorite resources is Nick Upton's site
http://www.thaibirding.com. On "main menu" on left of home page look for locations and when you get there, you want 'North'. Would be happy to point you in the right direction and you're coming at a wonderful time of year.
As for sites, Doi Inthanon would be #1 on my list followed by Doi Angkhang. There are a number of good birding places around CM, all of which are mentioned on Nick's site. Let me know if I can be of any further help.
