Hello.
I stumbled across this forum just this morning when I Googled an ID question.
Precisely the same question had been asked, and answered, here a couple of years ago and I was struck both by how friendly and how helpful the responses were.
After a quick look around I decided to register and join.
I’m based in Suffolk, UK, recently retired, and am lucky enough to live beside a tidal estuary (The Deben) and have a growing interest in the local birds and wildlife.
My interest is probably quite casual compared with many here - I don’t make lists or keep records but simply enjoy watching and identifying when out on frequent walks.
I also enjoy taking photos: my skills are steadily improving and occasionally they’re even in focus…
