Hello from the Mid Hudson Valley (1 Viewer)

Hi. Long time New York City dweller here (30+ years), just moved up to the beautiful mid Hudson Valley, NY and very much looking forward to seeing birds other than pigeons congregating outside our windows! One of the projects for this spring is to set up a little area in the backyard where we can put feeders and possibly some plantings to attract birds, butterflies, etc. When I was a kid back in the 1970s, my mom used to hang feeders and all kinds of beautiful birds would come at various times of the year and it was wonderful. I'd love to create something similar in her memory. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and look forward to learning a lot. So far in the woods behind our house we've seen cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, nuthatches, robins, several different types of woodpecker, and others. Curious to see what other guests we might have when we put out feeders.
