Hello from the Netherlands (1 Viewer)

Hi, my name is Gerrit and I'm a birder from the Netherlands and I love it.
I'm planning a vacation to Costa Rica in Febr. 2024 for 4 weeks to see the beautiful birdlife there.
Interested in the birdlife in the Netherlands see my Insta "Gaits-photography" and if you have questions don't hesitate to ask

Hi Gerrit and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I hope we may be able to see some of your pictures in the Gallery too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi Gerrit! I am also new here. Great you have the chance to go to Costa Rica, its a beautiful place. I recommend Savegre Hotel, best place to see Quetzal and some of the higher altitude specialities. The offer tours with local birding guides (this has an additional cost), but doing one at least for half a day is worth it. Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks for your reply, it will be our second visit in Costa Rica and we like to stay in small houses in the middle of nowhere, we've seen the Quetzal in teh rainforrest at Monteverde but hope to see him also next time
