Hi there,
I just found this group. I'm an active birder in SE Arizona, US, where I am a guide with Road Scholar (educational programs for people 50+). I also get to the UK annually as my daughter lives in the Cambridge area and often travel to Ireland as well. I'm going to France soon, and am hoping to see some new birds there. I'm not truly a photographer but I carry a Sony bridge camera and enjoy getting photos of birds I see. I also do a lot of "birding by bike" when I can. Thank you for approving me to join.

Hi TB and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I hope we may be able to see some of your pictures in the Gallery.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I lived in Sierra Vista and birded that area for a long time, I do miss the sky islands.

Welcome. I've found this site invaluable when it comes to knowledge sharing. I lived in Sierra Vista for almost 3 decades. Are you using a Sony RX-10, IV?

Hi Bruce. Yes- Sony RX10. I still call myself a "birder with a camera", but sometimes the camera does a pretty good job. I just don't want to carry a big camera (too heavy & cumbersome), spend a lot of money and then still have lens envy. I

My feelings exactly sans the lens envy part. I get some really nice shots with my Sony, but as you alluded to, not always.
