Greetings everyone!
Long time birder, and lurker here; but first time poster. We are lucky enough to live by Whitefish Point, which is a fantastic migratory spot in both spring and fall for raptors & shore birds (and passerines). We still have 2-4’ of snow on the ground and in the woods, with more predicted in the next week or so. Spring in the U.P!
I’ve used this site to research binoculars and scopes. I just picked up a new Kowa TSN-66A and love it so far. I plan on replacing my venerable (but decent) B&L Discoverers with a set of Zeiss Victory SF 10x42, most likely secondhand. As I age, I’d like the more powerful option, and have always wanted a pair of Zeiss.
I know Swarovski & Leica make comparable (or better according to some/many) but I am leaning towards the Zeiss route.
Cheers and happy migration!
