NL Pure 8x32 or 10x32 or ... (1 Viewer)

Trying to split the difference between two binoculars you already own is bound not to be an exciting experience. In particular, between the 25 and 32mm formats, everyone I can think of here just chooses one or the other, not both, depending on whether the ergonomics of 25mm work for them (they don't for me). And again between 8x and 10x there's only a modest difference, so most just use the one they prefer.

That said, if you're really not entirely comfortable with the VP, you might enjoy trying SFL 8x30 instead...

Owning both a VP and a couple 32s, I rationalize it by thinking of the VP as a "travel" bino. Pocket-ablility the more commonly used descriptor is not how I think of, or employ these little guys. I travel several times a year on an airplane, hauling everything in a carry on, overhead bin sized, back pack. The VPs fit nicely inside it and do not limit the space required for the other stuff needed for my visit. Their optics are almost perfectly fine for the birding we do these trips. The 32s... dont travel that way so well. The 32 however is the perfect companion for birding with scope over the open water terrain I often describe here. 8x25? Not so good at that. It also served well as a companion with a walker recovering from hip surgery few years back.

I think 8x42 and 8x25 is a great combo. I own them too.

If you want more: 8x42 , 10x32 , 7x21 Curio sounds good on paper too .
Or 10x42, 8x32, 7x21.

Enjoy them
