Hello! Stumbled upon this community whilst researching what spotting scope and tripod to buy (think it is between a Kowa 773 and 883), and everyone seems like a friendly bunch so figured I'd sign up. Currently have a Swaro EL 10x42 that has enabled what I hope to be a lifelong bird watching hobby. Along with that I have a keen birdwatching wife and a RSPB life membership, all I need now is the ability to differentiate between all of the "little brown jobs" as me and my wife call them (the bigger and more colourful ones are usually easier to identify :)).

Hi sloshy and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. We have an excellent ID forum here - they'll soon help you with your difficult ones.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
