Hello to All (1 Viewer)

Good Morning to all from a neighborhood of Boston Massachusetts, where it has been a particularly bird-ful summer: plenty of sparrows, of course, but also mourning doves, bluejays, a mockingbird or two, a pair of cardinals, the occasional oriole, the occasional hummer, and once, a bird whose name escapes me, digging for ants in our backyard--never saw that one before. Our neighborhood is also home to a large population of Canada geese, among which flock we recently saw what we thought may have been an entirely white Canada--not a swan, perhaps another species of goose. Anyway, hello to all and happy birding!

Hi Richard and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. It does indeed seem to be a bird-filled summer for you.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Thank you all for your kind responses and welcomes. I only chose the username Richard because this morning I heard a bird call I'd never heard before. It was quite strong and loud and sounded something like "Richard, Richard, Richard" sung three times each time with a short interval between each thrice-repeated "word." Quite musical. Having said that, you nice people should know that I am an elderly lady with a perfectly elderly lady name! But Richard is fine by me!

Hi, welcome to the forum “not” Richard. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.
