Hello, first time poster on this site :) Can anyone help with identification? Both seen this morning near my backyard pond. We have a small deciduous lot in our backyard , near Montreal in Quebec, Canada. I'm a lifelong birder, but still need the book for female/immature warblers and Empidonax flycatchers! I thought ID'ing these would be relatively easy as I got some pretty good shots - but alas I'm still stuck :) Unfortunately neither was in the mood for singingDSCN7405 (2).JPGDSCN7379 (2).JPG

Those are great pictures. I agree with Pine Warbler for what it's worth. I struggle with Flycatchers as I'm sure most people do. But I'm seeing Least Flycatcher. I certainly could be wrong though.

The identity of the warbler is hidden behind a very green photographic artefact.

Once removed - on attached your original is on right - you can see the slightly buffish wash on rear flanks of Bay-breasted.

Agree with Brian re: Bay-breasted Warbler. The flycatcher looks great for a Yellow-bellied to me, even considering the greenish cast.

Two fine birds!
