Here's an unusual question! (1 Viewer)

Good Morning, at least here in East Central Oklahoma! A question for my learned friends here at Birdforum: How do you all keep crows away from your feeders in the yard? When the crows arrive the birdfeed dis-appears in a hurry! And so do all other birds. Some kind of wire cage that permits smaller songbirds and restricts larger ones? An occational crow is ok but we are plagued with them! Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Okie

Some people do exactly that. They rig up a cage around the feeders with openings big enough for most birds but too small for the crows. I don't bother because i don't get that many crows or ravens and I've got just too many feeders.

You can also purchase feeders with these cages already on them. I like Duncraft, but Droll Yankee also does a good job. Both are U.S. companies. I use them for squirrels, but they also work for large birds.
