Hello

I am from ontario. But lived in america for a bit also. I just started studying at penn foster vet tech program. I love all animals does not matter domestic, rats, snakes, scorpions, bats, I do not care to me I love them all.

AFter I graduate I hope get to work with vultures in india hopefully as they are a dying species there but were very common 20 years ago. I will work with a vet just help him whatever he needs, all just volunteer for experience.

Any others out there like me? Hope i am on the right path before i did business made good money but hated my life. I have money saved for school and rent so it should go smooth. I really hope i can get a job in the avian field anywhere in wildlife rehab, zoo, marine world, public display, Or avian vet.

My program is mostly cats and dogs and touches birds but that is okay as most places just want to see an animal degree and the rest is your experience from what i know. I intend to get a lot of experience. In the past i have worked for exotic bird breeder for about six months and loved every day. BUT I stronly feel no bird should be kept in cages and if we do keep birds they must be free range or in a huge outdoor aviary. I believe in breeding birds that are rare to increase their population as well.

Would love to help and work with the condors.

Do you guys think I am realistic? On the right path? I saved up enough so that i can deal with five years of not making much money so i can just get the hands on experience i need.

Before this i looked into zoology and ornithology as my first choice but i found them way too science and math based and less practical, also found them much more theory. I dont really wanna write articles, or figure out proper habitat's, or sit in the middle of no where in a tent and study a bird. I just want to take care and help them.
