House Finch eye disease (1 Viewer)

I was watching a bird in the indoor feeder and noticed it had a swollen eye. First I thought a cat or something injured it...upon closer inspection another finch had issues with both eyes...they looked closed shut. Their bodies aren't swollen...so a google search I feel that they have House Finch eye disease

So the information said not all die. From it but can go blind...so I am to remove the feeders from the yard for a week right? Cleaning them real well...
