I discovered this place way back in November 04, but due various (boring) reasons only just got round to posting.
Been interested in birds all my life, but only really got properly into it in 1997. Most of my birding is in the Northants/Leicestershire area. My best ever find was a Hoopoe.

Hi Mark and may I wish you a belated welcome on behalf of the staff and moderators.

Hoopoes are great aren't they?

Given your user name, I think it is only fair to point out to you that you are missing a 'to' in your first sentence. ;)

Welcome to Bird Forum. Why not join the crew in Ruffled Feathers where taking the mick out of other people's grammar or numeracy is a pretty regular occurence. :)

Congratulatons on your Hoopoe.
