Hummers in Tennessee (1 Viewer)

Hi guys. Never asked anything on a forum but I have a question that I cannot find the answer to. In outside Memphis Tennessee area I have put glass hummingbird feeders out for 4 years but this year I am finding about 10-15 house flies in reservoir of feeders. I take down weekly and scrub with hot soapy water and spray the reservoir and feeding ports with hydrogen peroxide and rinse before refilling. Never had a fly in there before so I got all brand new feeders, and it is still happening. Does anyone know why and what I can do? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi beautyjunky and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I've moved your post to the dedicated Hummingbird Forum, where you'll find people with the expertise you've looking for.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I’ve had bees, but never flies. As long as you keep the feeders clean, as you say you are doing, I wouldn’t worry to much about it.
