My cousin finally got a picture of the tail feathers of a hummingbird and I need confirmation on whether it is rufous or Allen’s. It is not the best picture but I believe the feathers can be seen clearly enough. Any help would be appreciated.

This looks fine for Allen's with the unnochted tail feather. This is an adult male so it likely could be identified if you have a photo of the back, without going through the process of getting tail feather photos.

It does appear to be a male Allen's Hummingbird and the tail has narrow feathers like an Allen's.
