Can people give me some ideas of where to go in, or near Hertfordshire to get photos of birds?
I live in Hemel Hempstead, but would rather not travel any further than 1 hour away

TIA

Recommend 70 acre lake during the winter months, if you go to the bittern hide you'll have good chances of very close up views of a bittern and several water rails. The pic of the bittern taken on my birds quiz thread was taken there.
